Description: La ley forestal y de fauna silvestre (ley 27308) y su reglamento establecieron que se podían otorgar concesiones de hasta 40,000 hectáreas para forestación y reforestación en áreas de capacidad de uso mayor forestal y/o en áreas de recuperación forestal por periodos renovables de hasta 40 años, a título gratuito. Posteriormente, mediante ley 28852, ley de promoción de la inversión privada en reforestación y agroforestería, se derogó el artículo 28 de la ley forestal y de fauna silvestre, estableciéndose un nuevo marco normativo para el otorgamiento de dichas concesiones. A través de dicha norma se dispuso que el Estado adjudica en concesión mediante subasta pública, tierras forestales sin cubierta boscosa y/o eriazas de su dominio. El derecho de concesión se otorgará por un plazo de 60 años.
