Description: El presente documento es el resultado del estudio de Hidrografía y Cuencas Hidrográficas del departamento de Ucayali, describiendo para ello la metodología empleada y los resultados finales obtenidos. Este estudio se suma a los otros que se vienen elaborando en el proceso de Meso-Zonificación Ecológica y Económica del departamento de Ucayali. El conocimiento del medio físico del territorio permite la mejor implementación de medidas que conlleven a un uso y manejo integral asociándose a actividades que permitan el desarrollo ordenado de las poblaciones asentadas en esos medios. Los mapas de hidrografía y cuencas hidrográficas permitirán ubicar las zonas a proteger a fin de conservar la adecuada dotación del recurso hídrico, puesto que las cabeceras de cuencas constituyen las zonas más susceptibles a cambios de uso del territorio por la intervención antrópica o natural.En cuanto al mapa hidrográfico, permitirá identificar los principales ríos pudiéndose prever las zonas de riesgo por posibles desbordes en determinadas épocas en las que el caudal se incrementa. Y también a considerar la red fluvial como uno de los medios de conexión más usado por la población rural.El objetivo general del estudio es elaborar el estudio de Hidrografía y Cuencas para el departamento de Ucayali.Objetivos Específicos Cartografiar la hidrografía de la región Ucayali.Elaborar el mapa temático de hidrografía de la región Ucayali.
